The Grand Canyon is one of the greatest wonders of the world. It evolved naturally into an amazing feature of the American landscape through the erosion of the rocks by the river. I think this shows the theme ‘energy’ well as it took millions of years for the Colorado River to cut its way through the rocks which would have required a lot of energy. It was the energy of the river that allowed this natural feature of the world to form. However, the main aspect of this photo is the sunlight appearing through the trees. I think that the sunlight is the main feature of energy in this photo as it is the first thing the eye is drawn to. The sun’s rays break through the trees and are the most penetrating part of the photo. This shows the energy of the sun as, despite being 150 million kilometres away, it still shines brightly on earth.
