Preyasi is currently a high school senior going into college. She is a Math enthusiast and enjoys the applications of the subject, especially in the financial and banking world. In her free time, she is sweating it out on the badminton court, devouring political/crime dramas, reading Agatha Christie novels, or painting canvases.

Mona is in her last year of secondary school. She loves Physics and is passionate about science communication. Outside of the YSJ she likes to conduct research projects, row and play the piano. Based in London.

Federico was born in Italy and is an international student based in Milan. His main interest is computer science and its applications to solve everyday problems. Over the course of the last few years he has won several national and international competitions. In his free time, he enjoys cooking food, playing tennis with friends, and playing the guitar.

Maggie was born in Nebraska, but now spends her days being afraid of the cold in California. She loves mathematics, physics, and design, and how they can be applied to future innovations. She is a very curious person, always excited to talk to other people about where science can take us and hopes to explore that more at YSJ!
Flynn builds and manages all our systems, and is an enthusiastic programmer and young scientist. In his spare time he likes to run, watch films and listen to music.

Parsa Nayyara, 16, is an Indonesian high school student who’s keenly interested in the natural world. As an aspiring biotechnologist, she often conducts her own life science research and has earned several science-fair awards. By joining the YSJ, she hopes to be able to connect young people and promote science in her country and abroad. In her free time, she can usually be found reading books writing, or binge-watching Marvel movies.

Catherine is a neuroscience student based in London, with a keen interest in psychology and neuroscience. In the future, Catherine would love to pursue a career in this field, where she can continue to learn and make a positive impact. Being a part of the YSJ has been a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for Catherine, and she looks forward to continuing her role on the team.

Ja’Lani is an active STEAMinist and Art-ivist who applies her passions to science, art, empowerment, and beyond! She is a high school student from North America. She loves working at the journal as Head of Resilience as it provides direct impact to students, science, advocacy, and learning!

Nikhiya is a STEM undergrad at Stanford University with interest in biochemistry, medicine, math and physics. When she’s not doing research, she can usually be found re-watching every MCU movie, sculpting, or doing archery.

Over the past 3 years, he has been actively involved in the scientific community through original research and has received national and international recognition. In his spare time, he enjoys coding and playing piano.

Luke is a high school senior from Southern California. He is interested in engineering and mental health, hoping to find critical intersections between the fields as a future psychiatrist. Aside from science, Luke enjoys track and field, international literature, and fashion!

Prajna Nair is a high school senior from Kerala, India. She loves physics, especially astrophysics and cosmology, and computer science. She also enjoys reading detective fiction and painting murals in her spare time.

Maja is a high school student from Poland, currently residing in a boarding school in England. Passionate about philosophy, forensic science, neurology, space medicine and literature, she finds new topics to obsess about everyday. What she loves most about her role in YSJ is the constant brainstorming needed to create new events. In her spare time, she thinks about the absurdity of life and procrastinates on important school deadlines.
