Prosthetics company Otto Block has developed a bionic hand that works by responding to nerve impulses, just like a normal hand. It can pick things up, pinch, and tie shoelaces.
The operation is performed by Professor Aszmann. Any remaining scar tissue is removed, and the prosthesis is fitted with a \’cushion\’ of transplanted tissue to support the bionic limb.
