'Possibility of life' on another planet

A planet has been discovered which could possibly have the right conditions to support life.

The planet, Gliese 581g, has been found in a system 20 light years away, and is at the right temperature for liquid water to be found on the surface. The scientists from the University of California who discovered the planet which orbits the star Gliese 581 said that the planet could even have an atmosphere. Steven Vogt, an astronomer from the University said \’The fact that we were able to detect this planet so quickly and so nearby tells us that planets like this must be really common\’. The planet is about 3 or 4 times the mass of Earth, and is thought to be the planet which is most like the Earth than ever found before.
