YSJournal publishes CREST awards at all levels. Some team members have gained CREST Science Communication awards through their work on the journal.
Zoological Society of London YSJournal published the 2016 winner of the ZSL Prince Philip Award and Marsh Prize in Issue 19.
Nuffield Research Placements (previously Nuffield Science Bursaries) provide over 1,000 students each year with the opportunity to work alongside professional scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians.
LIYSF is a 2 week summer school for 500 students from 65 countries. In 2016 we ran a joint writing competition and published the winner in Issue 19.
We are pleased to support the educational work of the RHS and worked with them in 2016 to run a competition about Food in Space to celebrate Tim Peake and the “rocket seeds”. See Issue 19.
The Zooniverse is the world’s largest platform for people-powered research. This research is made possible by volunteers citizen scientists —hundreds of thousands of people around the world who come together to assist professional researchers. Young Scientists team members have learned much from our annual internships.
We are delighted to support the work of IRIS in encouraging more school students to undertake – and publish – authentic science research.
