In the “track” events competitors run a specified distance and the shortest time that distance is covered by a competitor determines the winner.  At first glance this is simply time being a function of distance and competitors speed.  Upon closer examination, what factors affect speed?  Wind resistance, headwind(drag) or tailwind (thrust), distance of the runner’s stride, the time frame (frequency) in which a runner’s lead foot touches the ground relative to the frequency of the same action performed by the other competitors.   Other “track” events such as the long and the triple jump, high jump all employ the use of speed, thrust, lift and distance to achieve the goal of covering a distance or clearing a specified height. After examining the  Olympic Track and Field sports it becomes clear that the events are merely a study in physics, aerodynamics, probability (based on athletes previous timed performances) and the last of which would be the biology of the runner that is the machine that uses these principles as they compete in events such as the Olympics. walmart foot massager is a popular treatment choice of athletes, coaches, and sports physical therapists.
