The Great British Chocolate Challenge for 2016 is launching – they’re looking for the next, young, Willy Wonka. We’ll be following the journey of the competition from the very start, right through until your creations make it through to production.
The hunt has begun to find the UK’s most talented youngsters aged between 12 and 18 – essentially, YOU! The task in hand is to create a savoury chocolate – I do mean savoury, it’s no typo! 🙂 10 competitors will be able to create the chocolate, the final four can then bring their idea to life and actually take it to market! All of the competitors are guided by top mentors like Will Torrent, an award winning pastry chef who’s worked with chefs like James Martin and Heston Blumenthal. He’s also worked on TV on many programmes such as ‘Sunday Brunch’ and ‘The Apprentice’.
The winner of the competition gets an AMAZING prize package which includes a trip for two to New York City along with a retail contract and loads of media coverage. If you love chocolate and want to mix it up, then this is a competition for you!
Chocolate Challenge mentor and Great British Bake Off star, Martha Collison said “youngsters are so switched on, they can grab concepts so quickly”, you, reading this are the perfect audience, we want you to create the perfect blend of science and taste – apply now at www.gbscc.co.uk
